The Aims and Objectives of SSBCA are as follows,

Article 1.1

To provide an organized forum for discussion of the problems of the Black Community and to stimulate broad-base involvement in the search for solutions.

 

Article 1.2

To provide guidance, leadership and other resources for the cultural, social and educational development of the Black Community, youth and senior citizens in particular.

 

Article 1.3

To seek human and other resources from the private, public and para-public sectors in our society in order to develop self-help community structures and institutions which are crucial to the growth and development of the South Shore Black Community.

 

Article 1.4

To co-ordinate programs in order to use the resources of the Black Community efficiently and effectively.

 

Article 1.5

To provide leadership and representation for the Black Community.

 

Article 1.6

To encourage a commitment and devotion to work in the interest of the Black Community.

 

Article 1.7

To work towards the acquisition and ownership of facilities in order to conduct programs which respond to the cultural, social, educational and recreational needs of the Black Community.

 

Article 1.8

To act in any other way to promote the development, progress and stability of the South Shore Black Community and the Association.

 

Article 1.9

To promote mutual respect for the right of every member of the South Shore Black Community.
