Welcome to ssbca.org, the website of the South Shore Black Community Association.

The South Shore Black Community Association (S.S.B.C.A) was founded in 1980 as a social and cultural organization, it was born out of the need for an organized approach to finding solution for the problems which affect the well-being of Black people in the South Shore Black Community in particular and Quebec society in general. It is a charitable and non-profit community service unit which provides cultural, recreational, educational, and social services to the South Shore Black Community and its environs.

The South Shore Black Community Association holds for its moral and social guidance those principles which justify the right of all people to live in this society with equality and dignity.

The Constitution governs the administration and procedures of the operation of the South Shore Black Community Association. However, the Constitution is the legal means for attaining the objectives of the Association and are not ends in themselves.
